Special closing event for Automotive semester 6 projects great success
15 HAN Automotive student groups concluded their semester 6 projects in a very special way in the Gelredome Arnhem. The time of learning in the classroom is over for them. Next academic year, semester 7 and 8, they will bring their skills into practise.
Semester 6 is the last semester in which students are working at the HAN. In semester 7 students choose their minor, in which they can decide whether they want to deepen or broaden their knowledge. In the final semester, semester 8, students will work on a research assignment within a company.
How was the closing event?
The ‘Powerhouse of Innovation’ event in the Gelredome was quite a festive symposium. Everyone still had to stay 1,5 meters apart due to corona measures. The symposium was opened by the chairman of the HAN Executive Board, Rob Verhofstad. He did this via a livestream with sport centre Papendal as he was also chairing another meeting over there. Verhofstad clearly indicated that programmes such as Automotive benefit from ‘working in the triangle’, the working method of these S6 projects (Industry – Education – Research). He finished with the Olympic words: “Then I hereby declare this symposium open”.
