At Level 3 (year 3 and 4), students will have practical internships in 3 semesters. Each semester (=20 weeks) includes 540 hours of practical internship. This amounts to approximately 28 hours of internship per week.

The student, practical supervisor and ISW teacher make agreements on the exact interpretation of these hours in the semester, tailored to the possibilities and wishes of the internship placement organisation and student. The student has the opportunity to switch from internship placement after each semester. Two or three semesters at the same placement is also possible.

It is important to note that in order to learn well, the student must have the opportunity to carry out assignments in the framework of the study at the organisation. The preparation, execution and evaluation of these assignments are part of the internship hours. Guidance and feedback from the internship supervisor are important here.

Our students have gained a considerable amount of knowledge, skills and experience in the first two years of training. At level 3, students learn to act in the realistic complex context of work. Upon completion of level 3, the student should be fully developed into a starting, competent Social Work professional at Bachelor level.

 

In Level 3 (jaar 3 & 4) gaan studenten 3 semesters op stage in de praktijk. Elk semester (20 weken) omvat 540 uur praktijkstage. Dit komt neer op ongeveer 28 uur stage per week.

De student, opleiding en werkplek maken samen afspraken over de exacte invulling van deze uren in het semester, afgestemd op de mogelijkheden en wensen van de praktijkplek en student. De student heeft de mogelijkheid om na elk semester van werkplek te wisselen. Twee of drie semesters op dezelfde praktijkplek is ook mogelijk.

Belangrijk om te benoemen is dat de student om goed te kunnen leren de mogelijkheid moet hebben op de praktijkplaats opdrachten in het kader van de studie uit te voeren. Het voorbereiden, uitvoeren en evalueren van deze opdrachten is onderdeel van de gemaakte stage uren. Begeleiding en feedback van de praktijkbegeleider zijn hierbij van belang.

Onze studenten hebben in de eerste twee jaar van de opleiding een flinke hoeveelheid kennis, vaardigheden en ervaring opgedaan. Op niveau 3 leren studenten te handelen in de realistische complexe context van het werk. Na afronding van niveau 3 dient de student volledig te zijn ontwikkeld tot start-bekwame professional sociaal werk op Hbo-niveau.
