International Social Work

International developments such as polarisation, climate change and refugee flows require specially trained social workers. This is why HAN launched the International Social Work programme in August 2020.

This English-taught full-time bachelor’s programme allows students to work in both international and intercultural environments to strengthen an inclusive society.

For our first-year students, we are looking for practical placements for 1 day a week with an international or intercultural character. It is highly desirable that it’s also possible for English-speaking students to work there. Think of multicultural neighbourhoods or schools, refugee centres for migrants, youth centres, international education or buddy projects.

Internationale ontwikkelingen als polarisatie, klimaatveranderingen en vluchtelingenstromen vragen om speciaal opgeleide social workers. Daarom is de HAN in augustus 2020 gestart met de nieuwe opleidingsroute International Social Work. 

Met deze Engelstalige voltijd bacheloropleiding kunnen studenten zowel in internationale als interculturele omgevingen werken aan het versterken van een inclusieve samenleving.

Voor onze eerstejaars studenten zijn wij op zoek naar praktijkplekken voor 1 dag per week met een internationaal of intercultureel karakter. Het is daarbij zeer wenselijk dat er ook Engelstalige studenten kunnen werken. Denk aan multiculturele wijken of -scholen, opvangcentra voor migranten, jongerencentra, internationaal onderwijs of buddyprojecten.
