Description of lecture: Team learning and emotions in work teams (Verena Watzek, M.A.)
The lecture starts with an introduction to informal learning at work of interdisciplinary vocational educator teams. The key concepts of team learning, team learning behaviours, emotions and affective reactions are then explained. As a next step, studies are illustrated in which team learning behaviours and affective reactions as well as their relationships are investigated. Before presenting the results of these studies, the focus is on using different methodological approaches to measure and analyse team learning behaviours and affective reactions during teamwork. The lecture ends with a discussion on the study results and limitations as well as the implications for practice of vocational educator teams.
