Win big money in double decker bus challenge!
This double decker bus from 1952 is automotive history but is polluting the environment. The challenge for students Automotive Engineering or Mastertrack Automotive Systems is finding solutions to make the bus as green as possible.
This challenge will focus on the following 5 SDGs:
- Ensure access to affordable, reliable and renewable energy
- Promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation
- Make cities sustainable
- Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
- Action to combat climate change and it’s impact
What can you gain and win?
The winning team of the challenge gets the opportunity to bring their plan into action and they will gain first hand experience of making the bus sustainable. A perfect chance to show off your talent in a practical way and have a positive impact on the future of mobility. Last but not least, there is also a cash prize of €50,000 split into 2 prizes of €25,000 per challenge.
This project is divided in 2 challenges. First we focus on the best plan for a green make over. A jury lead by Prof Maarten Steinbuch will judge the ideas. The winning team will win €25,000.
With this best plan challenge 2 starts. All teams will use this best plan from challenge 1 as a basis to make a plan of execution. The winner of this challenge also gets €25,000 and gets to execute the plan. All costs of executing the plan will be covered!
