When Every Second Counts: 1st-year Automotive enthusiastic about fire engineering
Already in the 1st year of study, HAN Automotive students are faced with projects on current themes. From saving energy to building a fire engine. Students are given modules in which different areas of expertise come together:
- When Every Second Counts
- Fun To Drive & Efficient
- Tuning 4 Business
We highlight one of these projects in more detail. When Every Second Counts’ involves a group of students developing their own innovative fire engine.
The group that received the highest score for this was allowed to go on a company excursion in early February. The students got an insight into the work and products of Dutch company IFFS (Innovative Fire Fighting Solutions). This company offers non-standard systems and tailor-made vehicles for industry and s.
Very nice to see the 1st-year students getting so excited by the possibilities of this custom-made automotive engineering! The lecturers were also impressed. Special thanks to Herman te Beek of the Netherlands Institute for Public Safety (NIPV) for arranging this excursion.
