Automotive startup ‘EmitO’ through to finals of most innovative student

INNOVATE is once again teaming up with Quest to search for the Netherlands’ Most Innovative Student in 2023. A competition in which students from different schools and universities from across the country submit initiatives that aim to make the world a better place.

From the HAN School of Engineering and Automotive, you could vote for the innovative student projects of EmitO and CCare in July. The great thing is that EmitO, submitted by Patrick Hülkenberg (Automotive alumnus and co-founder of EmitO), became one of the 8 finalists! This was announced on 18 July.

Patrick does indicate that the honour is not his alone. “Well this is in cooperation with my colleague Alexandru Gheorghe, because it was only possible to put one name for the ‘Most innovative student’.”

These finalists will go through a bootcamp with training from experts:

  1. EmitO (Patrick Hülkenberg and Alexandru Gheorghe)
  2. Archive no. 1 FOAM (Lisanne Peters)
  3. Plense Technologies (Berend de Klerk)
  4. ChargeHyve® (Jorg Wellink)
  5. Octopus Online Stores (Haya Jouhar)
  6. De Suweve (Wouter Witteman)
  7. Algaenius (Meinke van Oenen)
  8. E-SET (Bas Vink)

On 12 October, they will pitch their initiatives at the Musis in Arnhem. The winner will win a fully catered growth programme in Silicon Valley!
