SABA glues students minor Lightweight

A group of 30 Automotive Engineering students following the minor Lightweight Structural Vehicle Design visited SABA in Dinxperlo at the end of October. The students were shown by SABA how gluing for automotive applications is done in practice.

Together with the SABA team (Dennis ter Veldhuis, Michel Menting, Wilco Wennekes and Peter Wieskamp), they worked out a practical case and collected data through sliding and tensile tests with Sabatack adhesives®.

Dennis ter Veldhuis, account manager at SABA, explains: “Giving students a look behind the scenes is incredibly fun. On the other hand, it is very interesting for SABA to come into contact with this ‘new generation’. We are therefore happy to make time. We welcomed students to our new Experience Centre for guided tours, job application training and technical presentations. In this way, we hope to prepare students for business and enthuse them about adhesives as an adhesive technology.”

Besides giving technical lectures and practical tests, SABA is also involved as a partner for HAN Hydromotive. For this student team, SABA is handling the gluing of the sustainable hydrogen vehicle.
