Nordic workshop ESE: how to realise a Bluetooth BLE application fairly quickly?

To conclude the Real Time Operating System (RTOS) classes, 3rd-year Embedded Systems (ESE) students attended an unforgettable Zephyr workshop on 27 March from Nordic Semiconductor, the market leader in Bluetooth chips. Zephyr is a real-time control system for embedded systems.

In a hands-on workshop, Nordic’s Patrick Noordhoek and Frans Lutz introduced the students to the nRF Connect SDK. Using this software development kit, the students managed to create a Bluetooth BLE application in a relatively short time.

Nordic Semiconductor is a market leader in ultra-low power wireless connectivity solutions. They make chips with integrated wireless solutions, such as BLE, Wi-Fi and NB-IoT. They are distinguished by a developer-centric philosophy and highly accessible support and education. The ESE students experienced the latter first-hand. All participants developed a Bluetooth BLE application for the nRF52DK development kit and were given it afterwards. Completely ‘Made by ESE’.

A very successful day in which a lot was learned in a short time. The course would like to thank Patrick, Frans and Nordic for giving this special workshop!
