Launch S4 with Meet & Greet clients

Semester 4 started end January in the Event Week with the Meet & Greet (M&G) for all 2nd-year Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering students. The M&G was on Tuesday afternoon 25 January in the education building at Ruitenberglaan 29.

Why this M&G?

During the M&G, S4 students could get in touch with the clients of these projects. You could ask questions and possibly indicate your interest in the project.

Was there also information about the S4 projects?

Yes, prior to the M&G, information about the projects became available. This was in the form of a description of the projects.

Note! You had to do some preparation!

After all, you are not the only student the principal talks to. So make sure the principal of the projects you would like to participate in knows who you are. You can do this by leaving a CV or portfolio (with a recent photo), for example. In doing so, also clearly state what sets you apart from your fellow students. Things you want to learn or skills you have that could be useful for the project.

How to pass on your preference?

After the M&G, you could pass on your preference for a project via an (online) registration form. This preference was passed on to the principals. They could then also indicate which students they would like to see in their project. Both student and client(s) preferences influenced the placement.
