HAN4L team starts a collaboration with the Foodbank Arnhem

A new team of Automotive Engineering students is planning to participate in the 4L Trophy Rally again in February 2022. This is a humanitarian rally race in which student teams from all over Europe travel to Morocco in a Renault 4L. The HAN4L team will be driving 8.000 km with the goal: bringing school and sport materials to remote communities in the Moroccan desert. Furthermore they want to travel to Morocco not just with 1 HAN4L team but with 2 rally cars!

But besides this, the HAN4L-team wants to achieve other goals in the upcoming period. The students want to have an impact more local, within the Netherlands, by supporting charities.

Ahmet Ulusoy, operational manager of the HAN4L team, explains that the first steps have been taken. “We have started a collaboration with Foodbank Arnhem. We’ll be collecting food at supermarkets. Consumers will be informed about the Foodbank and about our own project.”

The HAN4L team wants to join the national Foodbank campaign of the Albert Heijn, early September. Ahmed: “We are currently in conversation to become part of this. We’ll also be collecting food at Jumbo Lely and Jumbo Amsterdamseweg in the last weekend of September. Obviously we will take our rally car with us to the supermarkets!”
