Celebratory revealing of two Renaults HAN4L

Student team HAN4L will participate in the 25th edition of the 4L Trophy from 5 to 15 May with two Renaults 4L. The festive revealing of these classic cars took place on Monday afternoon 25 April at the HAN Campus in Arnhem, Ruitenberglaan 31.

The 4L Trophy starts in Biarritz, France and ends in Marrakech, Morocco. It is not only a rally between different international student teams (the field consists mainly of French and Belgian teams, in addition to some German and Spanish participants) in a Renault 4L, but also has a humanitarian and educational purpose: helping poor children in Morocco with items they can really use at school.

The international student team of HAN Automotive Engineering is taking, among other things, clothes, shoes, shampoo, preserves and water bottles. But also pens, notebooks, wall games, old laptops for education are taken along in their cars. They have also received a lot of money from teachers, students and sponsors (with Ammi Care as the biggest sponsor) to buy more relief goods.

Thanks to the support of Ammi Care, the students were able to pay the registration fee for two Renaults to participate in the 4L Trophy Rally. Hopefully, if all goes according to plan, the students will be able to fulfil their mission and achieve a great result!

According to Ahmet Ulusoy, the team’s operations manager, the work on the Renaults 4L Rally was not always easy. Especially in the last weeks it was sometimes tough. “We students have a tendency to postpone a lot. And at the end, everything comes together. Problems come to light. And then we also had to combine it with our regular class schedule.”
