Production in TPC Optimization

Goal of this Semester 6 project is automation of a specific process where continuous fibre laminae are stacked and ultrasonic welded, before going into a thermoform.

At the moment this is done by hand, but can relatively easy be automized with the help of robot’s, conveyer belt line et cetra.

Another goal at another group of students was creating a hybrid mold with induction heating and a fast form of cooling to optimize cycle times for Thermoplastic composites. Provide room to let students research subject that they find interesting such as simulating, optimizing weight of the mold et cetera. 2D cooling plate with cooling channels which can withstand 200 tons of pressure.
