Need of wearing facemasks and vaccination opportunity at the HAN
Dear all,
The Corona measures are coming to an end, at least, that’s what we all hope for. But they are currently still in effect. As you may know, it is still necessary, and even obligatory, to wear facemasks in the hallways of our buildings until Saturday 25 September.
These rules are currently still in effect:
- 1,5 meter distance is no longer mandatory
- Wearing a facemask when you move around in the building is obligated
- Do a self-test twice a week, also when you’ve had your vaccinations. You can order the self-tests for free via zelftestonderwijs.nl
- Read the FAQ about the coronavirus and the HAN
GGD vaccination at HAN
Next week, the GGD is coming to the HAN Campus in Arnhem to give everyone who isn’t vaccinated yet the opportunity to get a vaccine.
The vaccination van will be on located on Ruitenberglaan 31 on Monday 27 September from 09.00 till 17.30. You can visit the van for your first or second vaccine. It is possible to make an appointment for it but this is not necessary. This vaccination opportunity is open to everyone at the HAN, students, teachers and supporting staff.
Make sure you’ll bring a valid ID card and a facemask when you visit the vaccination van. You can also bring your yellow vaccination passport and you can get help with getting the QR-code in the CoronaCheck-app.
Whether youdecide to have a vaccine or not is always your personal decision. At the HAN we will never ask for a prove of vaccination or any educational activities.
Why are facemasks still mandatory?
There are still students and employees who are concerned about their own well-being and/or the well-being of their loved ones. Some may be a carer and others have a family member who is in poor health, we don’t always know this from others. That is why it is still very important for them that we all (students, teachers and supporting staff) stick to the measures as long as they are in effect.
We do understand that it’s not always self-evident anymore to wear your facemask. I regularly have to remind students to keep wearing theirs. This doesn’t feel good and I think it shouldn’t be necessary.
You know just as well as I do: for you to be able to receive education on campus (physically), we no longer need to keep 1,5 meters distance. But the deal for that is that we keep wearing facemasks. That’s why we should all abide by this measure and my request is that we dare to hold each other accountable.
Remember: even if it’s not for yourself, do it for your fellow students and for your teachers who do need the protection.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and your cooperation.
