Mick’s move to Nijmegen: why?

Mick with catAs you guys know the year is almost over, this means that there are a lot of deadlines due. This should not be a problem since you have got half a year to finish all of it. But as most of you know that is not how the brain of a student works. Students think that they have plenty of time until it’s too late.

I have been working for the past few days nonstop to get back on track to finishing all my deadlines on time. This has been going really well and I am once again really motivated to work on school. But my new job has not made it easy to put all my time in school.

Since last month I started working at Albert Heijn in Nijmegen. I did this because I wanted to save up for the holiday. I have worked at this place before, but I stopped because I wanted to focus fully on my education. It also did not help that I moved to Arnhem during that time resulting in a travel time of 1 hour for shifts of 3 hours.

De 11 coolste dingen om te doen in Nijmegen

This brings me to the next topic I would like to talk about. I am moving back to Nijmegen this July. I have chosen to move back because I do not like the city of Arnhem that much. This might piss off a lot of people, but I am probably bias because I have lived in Nijmegen for my whole life.

Also all of my friends live there and I ended up spending more time in Nijmegen than in Arnhem this year. That is also why I started working at Albert Heijn again. Sadly enough I have not found a room yet since the housing shortage is a lot bigger in Nijmegen than in Arnhem. This means I have to go live with my parents once again.

I don’t know how long I will manage before I will go insane being around my parents all day again, otherwise I could always setup a tent in the backyard of my parents. So if you know of a room in Nijmegen please send me an email, I would really appreciate it.
