Automotive engineering student converts rusty Cadillac into mint-green new one
It was a tough job, but after 1.5 years of hard work, Matei Iancu, HAN Automotive Engineering student from Romania, succeeded! Together with many friends and fellow students, and especially thanks to Matei’s passion, a rusty, unloved Cadillac has been transformed into a beautiful, mint-green piece of rolling American history.
Matei: “It is probably the biggest project I have ever attempted and it is now coming to a successful end. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped, encouraged and supported me (friends, classmates and people with a big heart). We made it!”
“It has been long nights, clothes have almost burned from welding and grinding, we have known a lot of frustrations but also a lot of laughter together. The good music and the shortage of rent money left by the large amounts of material and tools have led to this moment. Now all we have to do is enjoy it and be proud of ourselves and especially of how much we have learned together!”
HAN4L and musician
Did you know that Matei has even more up his sleeve? He is also a member of the HAN4L student team and turns out to be a very good singer/songwriter in the field of country rock!
