Students work on sustainable aggregate Bredenoord

At NewTechPark in Apeldoorn, 9 HAN students Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering & Management are working with 4 specialists from Bredenoord and 2 supervisors on the development of a sustainable generator.

What is so sustainable about this generator?

This new generator generates electricity by using bio-methanol as fuel instead of diesel. This makes it possible to work in a CO2-neutral way and without harmful emissions (such as NOx and fine particles) in places where there is a need for temporary mobile power.

Methanol and hydrogen can both be used as carriers of renewable energy and the techniques are widely known. At Bredenoord the various options are being investigated for implementation in solutions for mobile power.
